O'Reilly baselessly associated critic with "open border people"

On the October 25 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly again falsely conflated criticism voiced by a newspaper columnist of O'Reilly's rhetoric on immigration issues with calls to create an open border. O'Reilly claimed: "[T]he open border people are frantic. I got attacked in The Denver Post by another Latina columnist. They're desperate." In fact, the article to which O'Reilly was referring, an October 25 Denver Post column by Cindy Rodriguez, never advocated creating open borders; rather, it endorsed discussing methods for further securing the border.

Let's see here, where to begin

Regarding her linked column:

1. Try this search. "Mojados" = "wetb*cks".

2. See my comments here discussing crimes committed by illegal aliens.

3. The killers in the GA case appear to have been African-American gang members. I'm sure they were spurred into action not by the cash the illegal alien farm workers were carrying but by "hostile propaganda".

And, let's look at an earlier Cindy Rodriguez column. She discusses the formation of a new group of "Latino" activists, including Lisa Duran of Rights for All People, who she describes as "smart". There are several links about her at that post, and there's more information on her here.

Once again, MMFA shows its complete inability to understand immigration matters and who's on the American side and who is not.

3. Click on the "I'm feeling lucky" box

Enjoy.

Scotty, I couldn't find your website after closely following your instructions. Maybe I'll try arrogant, bitter, or condesending.

Scooter,

You can't follow simple instructions? No wonder you've been indicted.

By the way, I'm not bitter. I taste quite sweet. But you'll never get to find out.

"That's really disgusting. You should stop tasting yourself."

Only disgusting to a pent-up, repressed rad con.

re: O'Reilly baselessly associated critic with "open border people"

Another attempt by the right to make something with many shades of gray into something black and white. Even the greatest supporters of immigration, such as myself, know that we cannot have completely open borders. To suggest such, where no such sentiment exists, is dishonesty of a high order.

Poor poor O'Reilly. He is so misunterstood. The liberals and the those extremist websites are always recording him and attacking him. He is a victim.

Notice that this is exactly what he has done to Rodriquez. He continually misrepresents her views. Because she has criticized him, she automatically becomes an extremist for open borders.

and just watch out, just watch for O'reilly responding to a future emailer on the tv Factor (or a radio show caller) by saying that he NEVER ACTUALLY said that Cindy Rodriguez called for open borders (even though he definitely implied it).
